Welcome, Anglers!
Belize is one of the hottest fishing destinations in the world. The fly fishing in Belize is incredible in terms of productivity and species diversity. While Bonefish, Tarpon, and Permit are the main quarry, there are Snook, Barracuda, and Jacks present to offer a huge variety of opportunities throughout the season. In addition to the immense fishing options, there is also a huge selection of non fishing activites including world class scuba diving, bird watching, and jungle tours. This is a great place to take a couples trip and not overload the ladies on fishing!.
The accomodations at Turneffe are spacious and comfortable. A large beach view offers a great setting for your morning cup of coffee.
The guides are always going to recommend and pursue the best fishing areas and species given the conditions you encounter; however, they're all willing to accommodate any special goal you may have. If catching a Permit on the fly is your sole reason for going to Belize, then you'll be cruising the flats in search of the black spot that marks the pectoral fin all day long. Both you and your guide will focus on every Stingray you see looking for the shadow of a Permit "hitching a ride on a Ray." What a way to beat the dreary winter weather of the Pacific Northwest...
