This is our best selling Loomis model, it casts like a dream and you won't
have to break the bank. These rods are beautifully designed to reflect
the central Oregon spring creek for which they were named, the Metolius.
This line of rods is the workhorse of the G Loomis trout line-up. Metolius rods feature
an offset-oval reel seat with a beautifully
engraved G.Loomis fish on a delicate green insert.
There are two different actions available in the Metolius line: Presentation
and High Line Speed.
Red's Fly Shop Favorites:
9' 5 wt. (1085-4) High Line Speed. This rod casts and fishes much
like the GLX, but sells for just over half the cost. It is a premium fly
rod.
8'6" 5 wt. (1025-4) High Line Speed. Very accurate rod, great 5 weight if
you plan to fish primarily dry flies. It will put the fly under branches
and into thick cover safely.
9' 6 wt. (1086-4) High Line Speed. This is the heavy lifter of the
Metolius family, big nymphs, indicators, split shot, sink tips, Tungsten,
small steelhead, BRING IT ON.

With the G.Loomis
Xpeditor Service you can get a brand new rod to replace a broken one,
delivered to your doorstep in as little as two days. Even if you’re on
a trip away from home.
If you break a rod, call 1-800-GLOOMIS and request the Xpeditor
Service. Pending stock availability, they will ship you a replacement
rod. When you receive your new rod, simply remove it from the shipping
tube, place the broken rod into that same tube and affix the enclosed,
pre-paid shipping label on the outside of the tube and you are done.
The cost: $50 for
standard ground delivery in the Continental U.S. or $65 for 2-day
service in the Continental U.S. or Alaska. It is the best warranty in
the business, hands down. |
