Guided Fly Fishing
Trips
Our guide service centers around fly fishing for wild trout on the Yakima
River. It is the only Blue Ribbon trout stream in Washington State,
and our fly shop and lodge are located riverside in the heart of the famous
Yakima River Canyon.
Beginners Welcome
We teach with fun and simple instruction. Our specialty is teaching new anglers how to
fly cast and fish effectively.
We also thrive on guiding advanced anglers to great fishing, and
can help them learn expert level techniques without a hint of "know it all"
ego!

All of our guides posess successful strategies for catching fish. If that has
not been accomplished, they would not be working at Red's for long! However,
our guides’ ability to communicate instruction in an enthusiastic but
patient manner is what makes a day on the water truly enjoyable.
What River Should I fish?
Decisions.. decisions... Start with a guided float trip on the Yakima
River. Also, keep in mind there is 75+ miles of the Yakima River, so
if you simply want to see someplace new, we will take you there!
The Naches River is 45 minutes south of our fly shop and lodge. It is
beginner friendly trout fishing as well, but seems to be favored by
experienced anglers seeking a unique adventure or those who enjoy both
floating and wading.
Steelhead fishing is geared towards intermediate to advanced anglers, but a
hearty beginner should not be intimidated. Although fall is the prime
time for most rivers, the Klickitat River typically opens June 1st.
Smallmouth Bass fishing is an adventure sought by experienced anglers
looking for something new. These hard fighting Bass take flies
aggressively and can weigh up to 6 pounds!
