River Guided Fly Fishing Trips
If you are in the Leavenworth, Chelan,
Wenatchee, Twisp, or Winthrop area, the Methow River is a great choice for a
guided fly fishing trip for either trout during the summer or steelhead in
Methow River Guided Fly Fishing Trout
This is one of our favorite rivers for fishing in the late summer.
Although the Met is best know for its terrific steelhead run, it also has a
very healthy population of wild Rainbow and Cutthroat Trout making it a
viable fly fishing destination throughout the summer and fall. Some of
the trout here can be very large. Trout season is open from June 1 -
September 30th and Steelhead usually opens in early October.
"I caught my first steelhead on the Methow a few years ago and it was unforgettable, especially since it was followed by second, third, and fourth on the same day! Learning to fish steelhead on the Methow was great for me because it is a very manageable size and thanks to the guide and water clarity, I was actually able to read the holding lies pretty well by the end of the first day. It really sped up the learning process for me and now I am a full blown steelhead junkie!"
