Ascension Bay is one of the best
locations for Permit fishing in the world. The flats are ideal for
bonefishing, and there are countless lagoons and channels to find Tarpon and
Snook. This unique composition make it one of the best places in the world
for a legitimate shot at the "Grand Slam" which occurs when an angler lands
a Bonefish, Permit, and Tarpon all on the same day. Add a Snook to the mix
and you’ve got yourself a “Super Slam!” We sent our first groups to
Ascension Bay in 2010, and everything about the experience far exceeded our
expectations.
Don’t be intimidated by the low price. No that’s not a typo—it says LOW.
This trip costs only $2195.00 per angler for 6 nights and 5 full days of
guided fishing. You’ll notice the 2 guides in the picture above—that’s
because a guide and an assistant go out with 2 clients each day in 23’ panga
boats. You’re wading is done with a 1:1 guide to client ratio. The food is
excellent, and the accommodations are basic, but clean and comfortable. We
don’t want to over sell this trip, but for about half the price of the
famous resort rates, you are getting more service here. We don’t, however,
want to under sell this trip, either. It offers a great value and is a
great find! By receiving this, you are invited to join us, but please don’t
simply bulk email this out to all of your friends. Give us a call and we’ll
plan it together. We have seen many destinations like this suddenly get
“discovered” and watched the prices double in just one season. We have
exclusive use of the lodge from January 19 through March 6. One of our full
time staff members will be on hand each week to ensure a quality Saltwater
fishing experience!
We sincerely hope you are able to join us on this fantastic saltwater
adventure. We are here to answer any questions you may have. Upon
confirming your reservation for one of the dates listed above, we will send
you a complete trip itinerary, along with a gear list, a complimentary RED’S
long billed fishing hat, and a complimentary fly assortment to give you
tyers a head start on filling your fly box. We will try to coordinate
flight times for the entire group to get the best rates and maximize
efficiency. Your reservation also gets you an invite to a complimentary
saltwater clinic conducted on the Carp flats of the Columbia River this
summer. Topics of this session will include sighting fish, distance
casting, and casting in the wind—all of which will make your saltwater
experience more successful and enjoyable. You will also be invited to a
slide show and fly tying session at the lodge in early December. |

Travel Details
The
trip cost is $2195.00. Additional expenses include: roundtrip airfare from
Seattle to Cancun (currently around $390.00), a 95.00 (per person) roundtrip
van shuttle to and from our final destination, beer, wine, and spirits
(purchased at a liquor store en route to the lodge), dinner on the arrival
day (stop at a restaurant en route to lodge), and gratuities. Everything
else is included in the stay. A $1000.00 deposit is required to hold your
date with the balance collected 90 days prior to the trip date.
