The
Legends
Baseball has
it’s Cooperstown where you see names like Mantle, Mays, Koufax, Aaron, and
Ruth; Fly Fishing has it’s Montana where you find the Big Horn, Missouri,
Madison, Beaverhead, and Yellowstone. We sometimes tell our guests (mostly
when the fishing is slow and we’re trying to distract them) that the most
enjoyable component of fly fishing is seeing the beautiful places trout live.
Montana is certainly one of these places, and it’s a fairly easy road trip
from Washington.

Diversity
Montana offers an incredible diversity of trout species (yes, this includes
the elusive Brown trout that we hear rumors of and search so hard for in
Washington!), living amidst some of the most spectacular landscapes in the
world. We have been fortunate to work on, and fish, most of these famous
streams, along with many of the not-so-famous ones. We have known the guide
services we utilize in each of these areas for many years and are confident
your experience with them will be nothing less than outstanding.
A Montana Fishing License is required for this trip. |

Custom Trip Planning
Call us when you’re ready to
plan your trip to MT. Whether you want to stay in one of the many full
service lodges; drive your motor home and tour the state; or fish on your own
and stay in a tent; we specialize in customizing your individual itinerary to
fit your schedule and budget. Please don’t feel like you need to book a week
at a lodge to use our service. We, as guides, often see guests who come out
and fish with us for a day to get the “lay of the land” and then spend several
more days fishing on their own. We are not a service that frowns on giving
free advice.

Our
Goal
Our goal in planning your MT trip is nothing more than to provide you with a
great guide service at a time when the weather is nice and the fishing is
good. We have all fished enough to know that there are no guarantees with the
weather and the fishing, but our knowledge and experience of these rivers will
maximize your chances to be in “the right place at the right time!” We are
happy to share our knowledge and give you our recommendations for when and
where you should spend your hard earned vacation time and money to help you
make the most of your time in Big Sky country.
