The location and experience of our fly shop is second to none when it comes to rowing, buying, selling, or renting drift boats and rafts.  With our fly shop located on the Yakima River, there is no other shop that can match the experience of our staff at Red's.  Because of this, we are proud to offer an "On the Water" drift boat school at our shop on the Yakima River.

It is a 6+ hour course that covers river safety, basic rowing, entry/exit, defensive rowing, anchoring, and more.  This class is designed for both boat owners and those curious about rowing rivers.  It will cover the different types of drift boats and rafts and the advantages and disadvantages each one offers the rower and angler.  It will also cover fishing strategies from the standpoint of rowing, boat position, anchoring, and casting angles.  It is a great class and is certain to enhance your own drift boat fishing or give you the confidence you need to purchase, rent, or borrow a drift boat or raft of your own.
