The lakes of Eastern Washington have incredible fly fishing for large trout.
The fertility and biodiversity is amazing and the fish feed aggressively on
the aquatic insect life living in these lakes. Learning the right
strategies and approach is paramount to the angler's success on these
waters. Join our class and learn to fish these lakes effectively and
put some big trout in the net!
Topics Include:
- What flies to use on Lake Lenice, Nunally, Lenore, and Chopaka - see the
Dirty Dozen
- Reading rises.
- Lines and Gear.
- Fly selection and stillwater entomology.
- Tight line and fly stripping techniques. i.e. Leeches, Dragon
nymphs, Damsel nymphs, and other swimming flies. Various techniques defined and demonstrated.
- Chironomid Fishing - taking the mystery out of this.
- Deep water indicator setup and use.
- Hatch timing.
- Reading hatches and rises on lakes.
- Ask Anything - we will answer tough questions and demonstrate techniques
you are curious about.
