Upland Bird Hunting Lodge Near Seattle
The Lodge at Canyon River Ranch could not be more conveniently located for
combining a couple of days of upland bird hunting with an overnight stay.
The Mount Baldy Ranch and Bird Preserve is adjacent to the lodge and our
favorite hunting grounds are just minutes away and approximately 2 hours
from Seattle.
The Canyon River Ranch lodge offers 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suites, each with a full kitchen, living room, and fireplace, and access to the hot tub,
pool, great room, and much more. The perfect destination for big or small
hunting parties to get away.

When is
the season?
Since our pheasant hunting is on a preserve where we supplement the
population, we get a very long season. It runs from August - March so
even when wild bird hunting is closed you can always come out and hunt
pheasants at Red's.

Beginner Friendly
Upland Bird Hunting
At Red's, sharing our passion for bird hunting with beginners and youth is a
large part of why we do this job. The heritage of hunting is one that
should be passed down not only to the next generation, but anyone that wants
to learn or participate. We welcome hunters of ANY experience level to
join us for a day of learning and hunting in a positive, safe, and fun
environment.

Multi Day
Upland Bird Hunting itinerary
Our most popular itinerary is a 2 Day, 1 Night trip. We simply add
days and nights if you would like stay and hunt or fly fish additional days.
On
Day 1 you will arrive at the CRR Lodge mid day. After getting settled into your room it is time to lace up
the boots and head for the hills. Since our bird preserve is located
just minutes from the lodge, our guide staff doesn't waste any time getting
started. After a good afternoon hunt you will be treated to a steak
dinner with all the fixins'. After
dinner, it is time to relax in front of a fire or soak in the spa and enjoy the luxurious layout of
Canyon River Ranch.
On Day 2, a Continental Breakfast will welcome you at 8 am, then it is time to
head out for another day of exciting upland action. We'll have you back around noon for checkout.
Can I bring my own dog?
Our overnight package is priced on guided hunts so you will be accompanied
by an experienced guide and a pointing dog, but if you prefer to hunt over
your own dog no problem.
.
What do I need to bring
hunting?
All hunters must furnish their own shotguns and shells. We like to use
#6 shot, but please bring the ammunition that you feel most comfortable
with. An orange hunting vest, long pants, and boots are all that is
required. You do not have to have a hunting license for the pheasant
hunts since we are not hunting wild birds.
