Fly
Fishing Photos & Videos
Photography is inspirational. It demonstrates the pure beauty of a
typical moment in the wild and simplifies our surroundings into a single
frame of thought. Maybe it is the expression or smile on a face, the color of
the trees, or even the stripe on a fish. The memories resurrected from fishing
pictures help to keep us all centered, healthy, and excited about fly fishing.
Photos have the power to take you to the river when you cannot get there in
person.
What would fly fishing be without great photography!?

Philosophy
We
decided to adopt a photo policy and guideline at Red's in 2009. Although we
have always been careful with every fish we handle, regardless of size, our
mentality involving fish pictures has evolved as fly
fishing has become increasingly popular, and our home waters begin to see
more angling pressure. We
would like to start setting a better example for everyone on the river in
regards to how fish are handled. This will no doubt help the health of
our fishery and we thank you in advance for your participation. Working together we
can keep a few more fish in the water. This isn't to
say we won't be taking pictures, to the contrary. Its just that most great fishing
pictures don't even star a fish!

Guidelines
- We try to limit pictures to one "glory shot" with a fish per angler, per
day.
- Anglers are encouraged to let the guides handle fish.
- If you do handle a fish, we ask that you hold your breath, the entire
time it is out of the water. This gives us some real perspective on trout
handling.
- If the fish doesn't cooperate, we shall go find another.
