Our riverside
location is in the heart of the scenic Yakima Canyon. This makes renting
rafts from Red's an easy choice.
It is a simple process for your group, big or small, to rent rafts from our
company and have a safe "Do It Yourself" adventure! Our staff will
provide all the necessary transportation for the entire group to and from
the launch or takeout.
How Long Do We Float?
Float Times:
Our guests either launch or takeout at Red's Fly Shop/Canyon River Ranch.
We will arrange for you to enjoy a 7 mile float which can range from 2-4
hours depending on river flows and how much you decide to stop along the
way.
These will be scheduled as a "morning"
(roughly 9 am) or "afternoon" float (roughly 2 pm). The morning float
is quiet and better for viewing wildlife with much less traffic on the
river. The afternoon float is better for social groups that don't mind
seeing a few other floaters and are more concerned about getting a tan than
seeing some deer!
Drift Boat Sales and Storage
There’s no need to drag the boat and trailer back and forth over the pass in the Sunday evening rush, or leave it at your cousin’s friend’s grandma’s house in Kittitas. Red’s Fly Shop offers monthly drift boat storage at our riverside launch location. We
have a fairly large property and will be happy to store your drift boat
or raft on site.

$500 / year for advance annual payments (12 months)
What Do We Need to Bring?
We sell the basic rafting essentials.
Sunscreen, sunglasses, ice, shorts, sandals, dry bags, and a few other
items. Be sure that you bring your own cooler.
We provide lifejackets and paddles for all of our raft rentals. All
children under 12 are required by law to wear lifejackets, and we encourage
everyone in the group to wear lifejackets. Red's encourages parents to
provide their own lifejackets for kids to ensure a perfect fit.

Framed Fishing Raft Rental
- Rent one of our 3 Person Framed Fishing
Rafts w/ oars and anchor systems for fly fishing and floating the Yakima Canyon.
These are all day floats with shuttle service included. $169
Guided Scenic River Floats $99 per person:
- From Memorial Day -
Labor Day we offer guided Scenic River Floats. This insures that you won't
miss your takeout, you won't flip your raft, AND you might even learn something
along the way! Check our Calendar to see a list of
available times and dates. Guided floats typically depart at 9 am or 1 pm.
Self Guided Paddle Raft Rentals:
3 Person Rafts $99, 6
Person Rafts $139. Includes all
transportation. This is a 7-8 mile float that starts or stops at our
riverside location. Float times are 2-3 hours depending on your pace.
Rentals depart at 9 am or 1 pm.
*if you miss the takeout and float past our location, a $50 pickup charge
will be assessed for our staff to pick you up at the next available takeout
point.
Guided Option - Add $249:- You can hire a river guide to coordinate your
entire group if there are multiple boats, or hire a guide for each boat. Add
$249 per guide to the rental cost if you would like a guide to go along.
Deposit and Cancellation Policy: At the time of reservation, full
payment for all raft rentals is due. We do this so that all you have
to do is go rafting! On trips cancelled more than 48
hours from the start time, full payment is refunded. If you cancel
your rental less than 48 hours prior to the start date, a $50 charge per
raft will be retained.
How Does the Raft Rental Work and Where do I Leave my Car?
Call our friendly shop to reserve your raft.
At that time you will
confirm details on how many rafts you will need. We have rafts of
various sizes and options. You will also establish a meeting time at the shop.
Paddle raft rentals leave at 9 am or 1 pm, Framed fishing raft rentals can
depart at any time as long as it is prescheduled.
Our staff will provide all necessary transportation. All you need to
do is show up and we'll take care of the rest! Your car will never
leave the Red's parking lot.
