Rafting the Yakima River Canyon
We make floating the Yakima River Canyon safe and easy. Our riverside
location is in the heart of the scenic Yakima Canyon. This makes renting
rafts from Red's an easy choice.
It is a simple process for your group, big or small, to rent rafts from our
company and have a safe "Do It Yourself" adventure! Our staff will
provide all the necessary transportation for the entire group to and from
the launch or takeout.
Floating the Yakima River Canyon
There are several options for floating the
Yakima Canyon through our Raft Rental Program.
Half Day Floats - 8 Miles:
Our most popular float. These typically last about 2-3 hours depending upon
whether the group stops for a break or not.
These will be scheduled as a "morning"
(roughly 9 am) or "afternoon" float (roughly 2 pm). The morning float
is quiet and better for viewing wildlife with much less traffic on the
river. The afternoon float is better for social groups that don't mind
seeing a few other floaters and are more concerned about getting a tan than
seeing some deer!
Full Day Floats - 16 Miles:
These floats span nearly the entire Yakima Canyon. It is 16 miles and
lasts about 5 hours total. They can be scheduled to start any time of
day. |
How Does the Raft Rental Work and Where do I Leave my Car?
Call our friendly shop to reserve your raft.
At that time you will
confirm details on how many rafts you will need, up to 4 people are allowed
per boat. You will also establish a meeting time at the shop.
Our staff will provide all necessary transportation. All you need to
do is show up and we'll take care of the rest! Your car will never
leave the Red's parking lot.
Do We
Need to Bring Our Own Lifejackets?
We provide lifejackets and paddles for all of our raft rentals. All
children under 12 are required by law to wear lifejackets, and we encourage
everyone in the group to wear lifejackets although it is not required.
Red's encourages parents to provide their own lifejackets for kids to ensure
a perfect fit.
Cost
and Payment Details:
To insure that your trip starts efficiently,
payment for raft rentals must be made at the time of reservation.
- Half Day Float - 8 Miles: $99 per raft (up to 4 people per
boat)
- Full Day Float - 16 Miles: $139 per raft (up to 4 people
per boat)
Deposit and Cancellation Policy: At the time of reservation,
full payment for all raft rentals is due.
On trips cancelled more than 48 hours from the start time, full payment is
refunded. If you cancel your rental less than 48 hours prior to the
start date, a $50 charge per raft will be retained. |
