Steve
was born and raised in Billings, MT. He attended Carroll College in Helena,
where he played football for 4 years and graduated with a degree in
Mathematics and Computer Science with teaching certification. He has been
working in the outfitting business for 16 years and has guided trout fishing
in MT, South America, and WA. An off season job opportunity brought him to
the Seattle area, where he was introduced to the Yakima River and this
special place. In addition to fly fishing, Steve enjoys hiking the sagebrush hillsides with his dogs Sallie and fidget in search of Chukar and Quail.
The timing was right for Steve and his wife, Natalie, who
was just finishing grad school in Missoula (although she still claims to be a Montana State fan at heart), and the rest is history...They
are blessed with two wonderful children: Elaine (5) and Henry (3). While Steve and Natalie have found a comfortable home in the Kittitas Valley, they are continually amazed at the diversity Washington possesses. They have set a goal to take at least 2 weekend trips per year to experience new locations and events in the Evergreen State. So far, the 2009 list includes the San Juan Islands and Walla Walla wineries.
