Ted was born and raised in Northern California. His interest in fly fishing likely came from his father, Joe, who was the Vice President of Fenwick rod company for 11 years. Between high school and college, Ted spent a couple of years in Lake Tahoe working as a ski instructor in the winter and a fishing guide in the summer. He graduated from the University of Montana with a Degree in Finance. For many years he has successfully put his “Ivy League of the West” degree to work in the business world and is now trying to find balance between an office in Kirkland and a drift boat on the Yakima River. Ted enjoys gardening with his wife of 5 years, Sarah, and two boy’s Jack and Cole. He is the co-founder and current CEO of the Washington State Poker Tour, where he holds the honor of being the first member inducted into the the hall of fame. Ted has been lucky enough to have fished Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Alaska, BC and some other places he refuses to talk about.
