“Anytime
you call a guide service and ask what the best time to fish
their river is, the answer is always the same “anytime you can
make it!” Well, I’ve fished enough to know that this is not
necessarily true. I’ve asked you guys for advice a number of
times and you’ve always steered me in the right direction. I
was disappointed to hear you recommend not going to BC last
year because of low Steelhead counts, but once again, you were
right on the money! The group I was supposed to be joining
landed a total of 1 fish in 6 days. In the meantime, I had a
great trip on the Klickitat with you, and I was able to apply
my deposit for BC to the next year. Hopefully the fish counts
will cooperate. Thanks for making my fishing trips the best
that they can be. You guys are the best!”

Travel
Planning
Once you enlist the services of our staff at Red’s, your contact person will
be with you each step of the way. Our goal is to keep you in your comfort zone and for
you to enjoy the anticipation while planning your trip, rather than the
anxiety of hoping it goes right with an unknown outfitter. At your request,
our travel affiliate will schedule flights and transfers that are not included in
trips.

Free Stuff!!!
OK, everyone likes free stuff. Anytime you schedule a trip with the Red’s Fly Shop destination travel program, you will receive the recommended gear list, a packing list, and a complimentary Simms fishing shirt with a custom embroidered logo of the destination of choice. This is a token of thanks we offer just to get the process off to a good start. You feel good now…. Just wait …it only gets better!
Red's Certified
We think it is important to take our educational courses to another level which will be denoted by the title “Red’s CIP” (certified instructional program).
When you see this title listed, you can be assured that it is not the same
trip anyone who travels to that particular destination would experience. Our
development team and the lodge staff have taken the standard program and
enriched it with an in depth educational curriculum to make your whole
experience more meaningful and FUN! Participate!

Red's Experience
So why pick Red’s Fly Shop to schedule your Fly Fishing Adventure? After all, there are lots of fly shops and booking services to choose from. It’s good that thought crossed your mind, because there’s actually a number of good reasons you should trust your travel plans to us. The main reason is that we approach our destination fly fishing excursions with the same positive attitude and enthusiasm that we conduct our daily local guided trips. We have built a great reputation by being extremely proficient on the elements of a guide trip that are within our direct control. Even on days when the fish or weather may not cooperate, our guests have a great time, learn something new, and look forward to the next trip out with us.
On our hosted trips, one of our qualified staff will typically accompany the group and work with the lodge and guide staff to inject an educational program that greatly enhances your overall trip experience. No, we are not going to be your guide in a far off place – that’s best left to the local experts, many of whom we’ve known for years. We are simply going to focus on all of the other details that will make your trip a success. We’ll show you how to tie the correct knots and select the right flies for a specific piece of water. Maybe after a windy and frustrating day, we’ll use the cocktail hour to host a clinic on double hauling or casting in the wind. The topic of dinner discussion one night could be what exactly to look for when trying to spot bonefish. Many people don’t realize that often times it’s a water disturbance the guide sees that indicates a school of fish. We’ll help match anglers with guides and coordinate special requests on a daily basis to maximize your enjoyment of the day spent on the water. It’s OK to admit that the reason these trips are so special is because we don’t do them enough to know everything. There’s a lot more to learn than simply jumping in the boat with a guide and casting where they point. So give us a call and be a participant – not a spectator!
