A Grand Slam Destination

This unique composition of species make it one of the best places in the world for a legitimate shot at the "Grand Slam" which occurs when an angler lands a Bonefish, Permit, and Tarpon all on the same day.

Each morning starts with a wonderful breakfast at 7 am that always includes fresh fruit and fresh squeezed juice. As soon as breakfast is over, the guides arrive and after a very short walk to the beach. Lunch is served on the boat, and you will fish 8 hours each day.

This trip is an unbeatable value and the guide quality is spectacular. You will fish from very nice 23' Panga boats, and you will have 2 guides per 2 anglers. This means that while one guide is on the deck poling the boat along the flats looking for fish in the distance, the other guide will be on the casting deck working hand in hand with the anglers spotting fish nearby. It is the ONLY way to fish the flats, and fairly exclusive to this outfit. Wading is done with a 1:1 guide to client ratio.

The food is excellent, and the accommodations are very nice, very clean, and comfortable. We don't want to over sell this trip, but for about half the price of the famous resort rates, you are getting more service here, especially since it is personally hosted by one of our guide staff.

Trip Includes:

  • FREE Saltwater Rendezvous Admission
  • $3895 per angler (double occupancy boats/rooms)
  • $6495 per angler (single angler panga single room)
  • 7 Nights Food/Lodging and 6 Days of Guided Fishing
  • Ground transportation/driver's tips in Mexico
  • Dinner to go en route to the lodge
  • Trip may require an overnight in Tulum on the first night depending on conditions (we do not miss any fishing if the group leader elects to do this).

Not Included:

  • Airfare (flights are to/from Cancun on listed trip dates pm arrival, pm departure)
  • Gratuity, this includes guides, bartenders, housekeeping, and kitchen staff.
  • Cocktails/Beer
  • Other small expenses include optional laundry service, our tradition of buying the guides dinner on the last night, cocktails, and small personal spending.
  • Medical Evacuation Insurance (required)
  • Travel Insurance (recommended)
  • Single room upgrades available for an additional charge, on a "first come, first served" basis.

This is a big trip and anglers should prepare in advance if possible. Quick accurate casts in the wind are typical, so be ready for it!

The Red's Hosted Experience

The Red's Hosted Experience

A Red's team member will travel with you and help make your experience the most efficient, rewarding, and best adventure we can. We're there to aid the lodge in coordinating ground transfers, assigning guides, meeting angler expectations, and helping problem solve should any challenges arise. Your host will mentor as necessary, work with the lodge's head guide to coordinate guide pairings, and make group wide decisions that best serve all Red's customers.  

The lodge is located in Punta Allen a few hundred feet off the water, within a 1-2 minute walk of the guide boats. Rooms host 2 people per suite, and each suite has its own bathroom and shower. You may request a single room for an additional charge. Dining is in the lodge's own restaurant on the first floor.

There is most often internet access, and we have an emergency contact number that you could be reached at if need be. Cell phones do not work down there. Just as well. If you absolutely need to stay in reach, bring a satellite messenger or phone.

Deposit and Cancellation Policy

Deposit and Cancellation Policy

A 50% non-refundable deposit is due at the time of the reservation. Final payments are due 90 days prior to the departure date. For all trips scheduled less than 90 days out, full payment is required upon reservation. Cancellations will forfeit all payments unless the adventure is booked to full capacity. At this time customers will receive a refund minus a $100 administrative fee. Anglers may reschedule an upcoming adventure more than 90 days prior to departure, but will be assessed a $100 administrative fee for the itinerary change.

Red's Fly Shop and the destination outfitter are not responsible for loss of fishing days due to missed flights, sickness, injury, weather delays, or any other reason. Red's Fly Shop also reserves the right to make alterations to the itinerary as deemed necessary or desirable, even if additional costs are passed onto members of the party. Additionally, any expenditures caused by delays, or occurrences beyond the control of Red's Fly Shop are the responsibility of the guest. Lost baggage, gear, rods, or other personal items are also not the responsibility of Red's Fly Shop or the destination outfitter. Initial payment is acknowledgment that the guest has read and understands these policies.

COVID 19 POLICY: In the event that tourism travel to your destination is legally and formally prohibited due to Covid, or requires an extended quarantine, customers may move their payments in full to another adventure with no penalty. If a refund is requested Red's will retain a $100 administrative fee.
