Cast N Blast Time!

October 17, 2014

There are just way too many exciting things to do during the month of October!  Over the past 2 weeks, I've guided and fished for both Steelhead and trout, and also chased wild Chukar and Quail across the sage lined plateaus of several Eastern WA canyon rims.  It can be a difficult decision to make if you have to choose between swinging flies for wild steelhead, or swinging your shotgun as a covery of wild chukar flush in front of your dog.  The best solution is to choose BOTH!  For years we searched for a place where we could catch some fish while floating between spots to jump out with the shotguns and find a bunch of birds on a short hike.  The problem had always been that to really get into quality hunting, you needed to  hike faster and further than time would allow.  We now  have a great Cast N Blast option that combines a preserve pheasant hunt from 9 am until noon, followed by an afternoon guided fly fishing float in the Yakima Canyon.  Our pheasant preserve lends itself to being flexible and matching the terrain to the needs and desires of the hunters.  Some folks prefer a flat hike that may last 1.5 hours, others prefer a higher level of difficulty and a spread that covers a much larger area.  No matter what your preference is, we can accommodate it, and find enough birds and trout to keep your gun barrels and fingers warm!  We have a great Cast N Blast special going right now for $499 per person that INCLUDES one night at Canyon River lodge.  Check your calendar and give us a call to schedule your next adventure!
