Survey - Yakima Canyon Scenic Byway

October 16, 2014

The Yakima River in eastern Washington boasts the state's only catch-and-release Blue Ribbon trout fishery. Getting there, you're bound to end up on the Yakima River Canyon Scenic Byway, Washington?s FIRST scenic byway, chosen by Governor Dan Evans as the best example for what a scenic byway should look like. To keep the YRCSB as a good representative of a scenic byway, several groups have come together to form the Yakima River Canyon Scenic Byway Partnership. The Partnership is working on a new Corridor Management Plan and recognizes that fly fishing is an important intrinsic quality of the YRCSB.

We need your help and expertise on how to make the Canyon a wonderful fly fishing experience. Your insights regarding fly fishing in general and in the Canyon specifically will help inform the Corridor Management Plan and ensure that Yakima River Canyon is a great fly fishing experience now and for future generations.
