Yakima River Weekly Report // June 12th, 2020
June 12, 2020
The river is in great shape! The dry fly fishing has been surpisingly good! Look for feeding fish on PMD's, Para Adams, and even #8 Golden Stoneflies every day starting at 2-3 pm. The mornings have been solid on nymphs and streamers. You can also link over to a new page we call the "Yakima Canyon Daily Essentials", that we started to make curbside pickup of tackle flow more smoothly. You can get tippet, floatant, flies, leaders, indicators, etc. and all the "daily" tackle items you might need along with a more extended fishing forecast.

Thank you for the overview about fishing on Yakima river. I never used a fly fishing technique, so I have a regular rods, do you think I have chances to catch any trouts that way? If that is the case, what would you recommend me to get in addition. Also, I am planning to fish from the shore, are there any good places for fishing from the shore along the upper or middle Yakima river? I I have hard time to find the limit of trouts that I can catch and keep, is it 5 or 6 per day at Yakima river? Thank you!
