Yakima and Tributary Creek Report // July 15th, 2020
July 15, 2020
High flows make for tough wade fishing, but it makes for GREAT drift boat and hopper fishing! The Yakima River is running at summer level and "bankful' which means a lightweight wade fisherman might be whisked away in waist deep water! There are LOTS of tubers and rafters on the weekends, so fish early in the morning or late in the evening on the weekends right now.
Hoppers are starting to make an appearance, so get geared up and ready for this opportunity. While the fishing won't typically be "hot" mid day, a skilled caster will bring up some marvelous fishing during the mid day hours from now through the end of August.
